State troopers have charged three people, all from Newark, for allegedly shooting and killing a man and then dumping his body near a wooded area off Interstate 80 in Warren County.

30-year-old Nishir Rios-Figueroa, 28-year-old Mustafa Manns, and 24-year-old William Dixon have been charged with murder, kidnapping, and other offenses.

Authorities say on the afternoon of Thursday, August 18th, 2022, troopers responded to a report of human remains that were found by a New Jersey Department of Transportation worker who was cutting grass along Interstate 80 in Allamuchy Township.

Detectives identified the victim as 27-year-old Quadree Burch of Newark, who was reported missing on August 9th.

During the 5-month investigation, detectives from the Major Crime North Unit established a timeline of events and determined that the homicide occurred on August 7, 2022. Through various investigative means, detectives connected the suspects to the victim and placed them in the vicinity of the crime scene. It is alleged that Manns, Dixon, and Rios-Figueroa kidnapped Burch and drove him to Allamuchy Township where he was shot and killed on the side of Interstate 80.
