Margate, New Jersey, Crash Involving Car & Electric Scooter

The Margate, New Jersey Police Department has confirmed that on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at approximately 12:30 p.m., police officers responded to a car and electric scooter crash.

Responded to the intersection of Adams and Winchester Avenues because of a crash between a motor vehicle accident and electric scooter.

The Margate Police Department has released the following:

At the scene they determined a 16-year-old male from Atlantic City was traveling the wrong way on Adams Avenue when he entered the intersection with Winchester Avenue. Brooke Hochman, of Holliston, Massachusetts was traveling west on Winchester Avenue when the juvenile crashed into the side of her Mazda SUV with his scooter. No summonses have been issued but remain pending the outcome of the investigation, said the Margate Police Department.

Condition Of Electric Scooter Driver

The Margate Police Department has confirmed that “the juvenile victim was transported AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with what appear to be minor injuries at this time.”
