‘Highly intoxicated’ Philadelphia woman ‘swung’ child, assaulted cops: Wildwood Crest, NJ, Police
A woman from Philadelphia was arrested following a frantic incident at a Wildwood Crest motel pool this past Monday afternoon.
43-yea-old Fallan Turner is facing the following charges:
- Third-degree endangering the welfare of children
- 2 counts of third-degree aggravated assault on law enforcement
- Third-degree resisting arrest with force
- Fourth-degree criminal sexual contact
- Failure to allow fingerprinting
- 2 counts of harassment
- Disorderly conduct
The Wildwood Crest Police Department says their officers responded to a call about a fight in-progress at a motel in the 6200 block of Ocean Avenue at about 2:30 Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, witnesses reported that a "highly intoxicated female," Turner, was out of control in the pool.
Officers learned that Mrs. Turner grabbed an unrelated 10-year-old juvenile male, and swung him around in the pool, dunking him underwater. As the juvenile’s father attempted to intervene, she jumped on his back and grabbed him inappropriately. While officers were speaking with Mrs. Turner, she became belligerent and was placed under arrest. While handcuffing Mrs. Turner, she pushed the arresting officer in the face as she resisted his control. During processing at police headquarters, she continued to be highly uncooperative and combative towards officers and even bit an officer’s hand. Neither officer sustained significant injury.
After Turner was arrested, she was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Facility.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
