Egg Harbor Township, NJ Police: 7-11 Robbery, Fled Toward Wawa
On Saturday, April 6, 2024, at about 6:30 p.m., the Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey Police Department responded to the 7-11 store, located at 2612 Tilton Road, in Egg Harbor Township.
They responded to a report that there was an armed robbery that had just taken place.
From there, the accused male robber proceeded on foot towards Wawa.
Egg Harbor Township Police Officer Thomas Rizzotte found the accused male in the parking lot of Wawa.
Rizzotte arrested Mark Stackhouse, 30, years old, from Tuckerton, New Jersey without further incident.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has released the following facts about the armed robbery incident:
Investigation revealed that Stackhouse went into 7-11 and approached the cashier. Stackhouse allegedly stated to the cashier that he had a gun in his pocket and he would shoot her if she did not give him the money. The cashier refused to hand over any money and Stackhouse walked out of the business. While outside the business Stackhouse attempted to rob an individual in the parking lot utilizing the same method however this attempted robbery was unsuccessful as well.
Stackhouse has been charged with two counts of robbery and he is currently housed at the Atlantic County Justice facility.
