Authorities say the Atlantic City Police Department's Surveillance Center was watching the 1000 block of Magellan Avenue during the pre-dawn hours of August 22nd.
While keeping an eye on cameras, officials say they observed 20-year-old Jonathan Valentine of Pleasantville in possession of a handgun while sitting in the passenger’s seat of a vehicle.
After removing the handgun from his waistband, Valentine gave the weapon to Quinia Jones. Jones was in the driver’s seat and began to handle the handgun before turning it back over to Valentine. Valentine exited the vehicle after putting the handgun back in his waistband.
Officers quickly arrived at the scene and both Valentine and Jones were taken into custody; a loaded handgun was recovered from Valentine, per police.

18-year-old Quinia Jones of Atlantic City was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
Both were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
