An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal shooting in Camden on June 28th.

Billy Corbitt of Camden has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 21-year-old Bryan Roberts of Trenton.

Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay's office says on that night, Camden County Police Department officers responded to Ablett Village in reference to a report of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers located Roberts who was unresponsive and not breathing. EMS arrived at the scene and he was found to be dead.

Corbitt was taken into custody on July 6th in Camden by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility. A detention hearing will be scheduled for a future date in Superior Court in Camden.
