My Choice For The Best Eggs Benedict In The Atlantic City Area

The above is my actual scratch-made Eggs Benedict from yesterday morning at Gary’s Restaurant.

Gary’s version features perfectly toasted English muffins, layered with savory Canadian Bacon — topped with the stars of the “show,” flawlessly poached eggs with runny yolks, and the most delicious, made-from-scratch Hollandaise sauce that have ever tasted.

Most guests have this with a side of Gary’s crispy home fries. Instead, I went with slices of fresh Jersey Tomatoes, yesterday.

Scratch-Made Hollandaise Sauce

This is my pick for the MVP of this perfect dish. Gary’s Hollandaise sauce is prepared from scratch daily rather than using a powdered mix, that many restaurants use.

Gary’s is a perfect, velvety balance of buttery richness and lemon — but, not too much lemon, which can overpower the sauce if not just the right amount.

Jumbo Lump Crab Option

Gary’s offers this twist, as you can top your Eggs Benedict with fresh, sweet jumbo lump crab meat. It’s a real treat.
