Atlantic County, NJ, Sheriff’s Department Sweeps House Of Worship
The Atlantic County, New Jersey, Sheriff’s Department recently conducted a random sweep and patrols of a local house of worship — along with the Ventnor City Police Department.
This is a potential life-saving service that the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department is making available.
The Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department has become a very pro-active law enforcement agency under Sheriff Joe O’Donoghue.
The recent Ventnor sweeps and patrols were led by O’Donoghue — in collaboration with the Ventnor City Police Department.
Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department Released The Following Information
Atlantic County Sheriff Joseph "Tokyo" O'Donoghue and K9 Matt Richardson were out today with the Ventnor Police Department doing random sweeps and patrols of local houses of worship. The Atlantic County Sheriff's Office is available to assist and sweep when possible, any local houses of worship when they have special events, said the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department.
The Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department
Under O’Donoghue’s leadership, the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department has restored many important police functions to their day-to-day operations.
This includes:
- Patrols
- K-9 Division
- Motorcycle Division
- Prisoner transport throughout Atlantic County
There had been a departure from these important core police functions prior to the election of O’Donoghue as Atlantic County Sheriff.
