
Atlantic City, NJ Man Is Guilty Of Aggravated Manslaughter & More
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that an Atlantic City, New Jersey man has pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter.

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, Nakway Davis, 19 years old, from Atlantic City, New Jersey pleaded guilty to:
- first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter.
- second-degree Aggravated Assault.
- third-degree Conspiracy to Commit Motor Vehicle Theft.
- third-degree Joyriding.
New Jersey Superior Court Judge Pamela Darcy
Nakway appeared before Judge Darcy and has entered his guilty plea on all of the above charges.
Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Has Released The Following Public Comments
On November 16, 2024, the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, responding officers located two male victims with gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigation revealed a group of individuals were standing on Atlantic Avenue around the Boost Mobile store when multiple rounds were fired in their direction. Both victims were transported to the Atlantic City Medical Center. On December 14, 2024, one of the victims, Jaiden Perez, 19, of Atlantic City, NJ, succumbed to his injuries. Preliminary autopsy findings revealed Perez's cause of death was a gunshot wound to his upper torso. The second victim, a 24-year-old male from Ocean City, NJ, was treated and released from the hospital shortly after the shooting incident, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office

The U.S. Marshals Service and the Atlantic City Police Department arrested Nakway Davis on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Sentencing
Nakway Davis will be sentenced on July 16, 2026.
