Atlantic City, NJ Casino Begins Multi-Million-Dollar Renovation

In the Marina District of Atlantic City, New Jersey, sits a magnificent hotel casino property.

It was originally built by Hilton Hotels … then it was transformed into the Trump Castle Casino Resort by the Bay by President Donald Trump.

It was Trump, who designed and developed the Crystal Tower Suites, a beautiful, all suites tower (more than 100)  built directly adjacent to the existing original tower.

In the late 1980’s, the Crystal Tower Suites were the most opulent suites in Atlantic City history.

In May, 2011, Tilman J. Fertitta, Owner, Chairman and CEO of (Houston based) Landry’s, Inc. purchased the Trump Marina from Trump Entertainment Resorts.

Fertitta kept his commitment to Atlantic City and invested more than $ 100 million to rebrand the property as the Golden Nugget Atlantic City.

The first phase of the latest Golden Nugget Atlantic City renovations includes:

• Rooms
• Suites
• Bathrooms
• Corridors

The bathrooms will feature “spacious walk-in showers enclosed in modern glass, deluxe showerheads, and backlit mirrors over sizeable vanity sinks which create a spa-like oasis,” according to a public release about the current renovations project.

Fertitta has consistently reinvested in the property, with other recent improvements, including:

A new authentic Mexican restaurant Dos Caminos, enhanced redesign of the popular Chart House restaurant, significant meeting space and casino floor upgrades.

We are eager to launch this new, multi-phased hotel renovation project for our Atlantic City Casino property. The Golden Nugget Atlantic City plans to complete the first phase of the current renovations by late Spring, 2024.

Following this, Golden Nugget Atlantic City will move on to additional phases.

With New York City casinos knocking on Atlantic City’s door, it is incumbent upon the Atlantic City casino industry to be at its absolute best in order to compete.
