9-Year-Old New Jersey Boy Advances on ‘America’s Got Talent’
A 9-Year-Old Jersey City, New Jersey boy had a great audition on “America’s Got Talent.”
The little boy is so talented … his name is Journeyy and he performed an original song that he wrote.
Journeyy’s original song is titled “Paradise.”
AGT wrote the following on social media about Journeyy’s performance:
He played the piano and sang, bringing an emotional performance, with his poetic stylings.
The audience and Judges, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sophia Vergara all enthusiastically voted to send Journeyy to the next round called “The Live Shows.”
I predict that the American viewing voting public is going to really like Journeyy.
I was struck by his nature and soulful voice for being such a young boy.
Season 19 of AGT is fast getting a reputation for featuring “cool kids,” who are blowing away the judges and audiences all throughout the audition phase.
Simon Cowell announced before Journeyy was about to perform that he had heard about him from a friend, who was in the audience.
Cowell wanted the show’s producers and screeners to know about Journey … but, they had already discovered him on YouTube and had previously signed him-up to audition.
For singers to have a chance to win AGT, it’s all about the song selection.
Those who perform original songs do not always get the reaction required to win from the audience, judges and television viewer voters.
AGT returns in two weeks after The Olympics.
We’ll be following New Jersey’s own child prodigy, a special and talented little boy named Journey.
