7 arrested after Pacific Avenue drug sweep in Atlantic City, NJ
Seven people are facing charges after authorities conducted a drug sweep along a busy roadway in the World's Play Ground.
The Atlantic City Police Department says on Tuesday, September 3rd, their detectives and officers wrapped up an investigation into alleged drug deals between the 2500 and 3000 blocks of Pacific Avenue.
According to authorities, detectives executed three search warrants, they recovered more than 55 grams of cocaine, 62 individual bags of heroin, prescription pills, and paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics.
The following people were arrested:
ARRESTED: Mikelle Jones, 36, of Philadelphia
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and money laundering
ARRESTED: Kareem Singletary, 20, of Philadelphia
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and possession of CDS paraphernalia
ARRESTED: Kareem Spence, 21, of Atlantic City
CHARGES: Possession of CDS (two counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute (two counts), possession of CDS paraphernalia, money laundering, and endangering the welfare of a child
Those three were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
ARRESTED: Destiny Lavidu-Santana, 21, of Atlantic City
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone
ARRESTED: Sani Morgan, 20, of Atlantic City
CHARGES: Possession of CDS (two counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute (two counts), endangering the welfare of a child, money laundering, and possession of CDS paraphernalia
ARRESTED: Carol Myers, 53, of Pleasantville
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS paraphernalia
ARRESTED: 16-year-old juvenile of Atlantic City
CHARGES: Possession of CDS (two counts), possession of CDS with intent to distribute (two counts), and possession of CDS paraphernalia
Those four were released on a summons with a future court date.
The investigation was led by ACPD Det. Christopher Dodson. The Atlantic County Prosecutors Office and FBI Atlantic City Safe Streets Task Force assisted.
