Five teenagers, none older than 15, have been charged in connection to an armed robbery at an Atlantic City casino last week.

The Atlantic City Police Department says just after 8 PM on Friday, August 9th, their officers were called to the Tropicana after a victim was approached by five men, one of which had a large knife. That knife was held to the victim's back as they demanded his belongings.

After Tropicana security officers were able to obtain video surveillance of the suspects, ACPD officers found three of them on the first block of South Texas Avenue, where they were apprehended after fleeing.

The fourth suspect was later arrested on the 2600 block of Atlantic Avenue.

The fifth was taken into custody on the 2600 block of Arctic Avenue after allegedly dropping a large knife during a short foot pursuit.

Police say items belonging to the victim were also recovered.

Four 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy, all from Atlantic City, have each been charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, simple assault, terroristic threats, theft, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy.

All five were remanded to various youth detention facilities.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
