16 people arrested by sheriff’s officers in Atlantic County, NJ

Since taking office several months ago, Atlantic County Sheriff Joe O'Donoghue has made it a point to target those with outstanding warrants across the region.

The result has been hundreds of arrests since the beginning of the year, including another 16 people being taken into custody during the first part of this month.

• Aug. 2 — Ryan Dowdal, 38, Egg Harbor Twp. — arrested in Egg Harbor Twp. on two superior court warrants for shoplifting, theft by unlawful taking, and a municipal warrant issued by Pleasantville in the amount of $2,500

• Aug. 2 — Zachary I. Hammond, 29, Atlantic City — arrested in Atlantic City on four superior court warrants for possession of weapon for unlawful purpose, terroristic threats, certain persons not to have weapons, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of CDS, criminal trespass, criminal attempt, and burglary

• Aug. 2 — Erving Johnson, 33, Atlantic City — arrested in Atlantic City on a superior court warrant for unlawful possession of a weapon and non-support in the amount of $33,831.55

• Aug. 2 — Elliot Rosario, 42, Hamilton — arrested in Hamilton on non-support in the amount of $14,246.89

• Aug. 6 — Tanisha Watkins, 34, Atlantic City — arrested in Hamilton on a municipal warrant issued by County Central in the amount of $1,000

• Aug. 7 — Gregory A. Hall, 55, Atlantic City — arrested in Atlantic City on three superior court warrants for shoplifting

• Aug. 7 — Beverly A. Owens, 42, Pleasantville — arrested in Pleasantville on a superior court warrant for shoplifting

• Aug. 8 — Charles Allen, 59, Atlantic City — arrested in Atlantic City on non-support in the amount of $7,444.27

• Aug. 8 — Edgar Ortiz, 30, Atlantic City — arrested in Atlantic City on a superior court warrant for false report to law enforcement and two municipal warrants issued by Atlantic City and Absecon totaling $1,250

• Aug. 8 — Jaqueline A. Panikowski, 40, Atlantic City — arrested in Atlantic City on a superior court warrant for possession of CDS

• Aug. 9 — William Ford, 29, Egg Harbor Twp. — arrested in Atlantic City on non-support in the amount of $4,071

• Aug. 9 — Lewis K. Kleinow, 52, Egg Harbor Twp. — arrested in Hamilton on a municipal warrant issued by Wildwood Crest in the amount of $1,500

• Aug. 12 — Steve Araujo, 41, Ventnor — arrested in Ventnor on two superior court warrants for criminal mischief

• Aug. 12 — Douglas Estrada, 44, Northfield — arrested in Atlantic City on a no-bail municipal warrant issued by County Central

• Aug. 12 — Thomas Messineo, 59, Atlantic City — arrested in Atlantic City on a superior court warrant for burglary

• Aug. 13 — Andrea M Deklerk, Hamilton — arrested in Hamilton (information from the sheriff's office about this arrest was incomplete)
