Former Wildwood Catholic star Jahlil White announced he was transferring from Temple back on April 2.

On Sunday he announced in a social media post where he will be playing for the upcoming season. White will be staying in Philadelphia but will be moving from Temple to LaSalle to play for the Explorers as a grad transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.

Last season with the Owls, White averaged 10.1 points per game and 5.5 rebounds in 26 games, making 12 starts.

He spent three seasons on North Broad Street and was named the Big 5 Freshman of the Year.

White will now be playing at LaSalle for coach Fran Dunphy, who is 31-36 in two seasons with the Explorers.  He is the all-time winningest coach in Philadelphia Big 5 history, having coached at Penn, Temple and LaSalle, appearing in 17 NCAA Tournaments.

While at Wildwood Catholic, the Whitesboro native averaged 16.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.  The season he helped Wildwood Catholic to a third straight Cape-Atlantic League Tournament championship and the South Jersey, Non-Public B crown. During his junior season for the Crusaders, he averaged 18.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
