Holy Spirit alum and Ventnor resident, Greg Roman, is heading back to the NFL.

Roman, 51, sat out in 2023 after parting ways with Baltimore after the 2022 season, it appears Roman is reuniting with Jim Harbaugh in Los Angeles with the Chargers. Harbaugh is the new head coach in Los Angeles and the duo spent time together in San Francisco and at Stanford.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the 1991 Holy Spirit graduate will join Harbaugh's staff in a prominent role.

It appears Roman will become the Chargers' offensive coordinator, with Los Angeles hiring former Eagles offensive assistant Marcus Brady as their pass game coordinator, per ESPN's Jeremey Fowler.

Roman is no stranger to the NFL, having spent time in Baltimore, Buffalo, and San Francisco as an offensive coordinator. He also spent time in Houston and Carolina in a non-coordinator position.

He worked with Harbaugh in San Francisco, helping the 49ers get all the way to Super Bowl XLVII. After two stints together in Northern Cali (Stanford and SF), the two are reunited, this time in Southern California with the Chargers.

Roman spent the 2008 season working at Holy Spirit as the Spartans offensive coordinator, winning a State title.

For locals wondering when the Eagles face the Chargers, it won't be until the 2025 season, but the game will be in LA.
