Undefeated New Jersey boxers headline Tropicana Atlantic City this fall
After almost a decade without Professional Boxing at the property, Tropicana Atlantic City has become the place to see some of the best up-and-coming Boxers from the region.
Boxing Insider Promotions has showcased some of the top young boxers from New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania to the Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City.
Hosting five events at the property since May 2024, the Promoter from Margate, Larry Goldberg, has kept his promise of bringing a consistent schedule of action-packed boxing events to South Jersey.
After hosting two great boxing cards at Tropicana Atlantic City in 2025, Boxing Insider Promotions has announced its third event this year for the fall season.
The Return of a South Jersey Champion to Atlantic City
On Friday, November 7th, Live Boxing Returns to the Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City, featuring three New Jersey fighters along with one of the best Heavyweight Boxers in action.
This fall marks the return of the newly crowned Junior NABF Super Welterweight Champion Justin Figueroa to Tropicana Atlantic City. The Holy Spirit High School Graduate extended his undefeated record to 13-0 after defeating veteran fighter Jarrod Tennant en route to winning his first professional title in his boxing career.
Whether you know him as "Just In Time" Figueroa or "Mr. Atlantic City", the 26-year-old boxer is one of the hardest-working athletes in South Jersey. When speaking to me on 973 ESPN South Jersey, Figueroa understands the work it takes to become and stay a championship fighter:
"I have been working harder, working smarter, getting more competitive sparring....I love what I do, I love training, I love fighting, and I love putting on the show for everyone."
Other South Jersey Fighters Announced for November 7th
The local fighters joining Figueroa on the action-packed fight card scheduled for this fall at Tropicana Atlantic City include Undefeated Heavyweight Bruce Seldon Jr. and former top-ranked Amateur Boxer Lia Lewandowski.
A graduate from Absegami High School, Bruce Seldon Jr trains at Crown Jewel Boxing in Pleasantville. With a Professional Boxing Record of 7-0, he told 973 ESPN earlier this year that he is well aware that he is still in the early stages of his pro boxing journey:
"I'm still in the very beginning of my career. I haven't accomplished too much. You know what I'm saying? Obviously, for me, big accomplishments, just being from where I was maybe two years ago till now, obviously, that's a big step forward. But as far as in the world that I'm in, I haven't really done too much."
The third local boxer announced for the November 7th fight card is Lia Lewandowski from Berlin, New Jersey. The Drexel University graduate was originally training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu before making the full-time transition to boxing under the guidance of veteran boxing trainer Milton Davis.
The South Jersey Boxer was the number five-ranked Female Amateur boxer in the United States at 114 pounds just a couple of years ago. Now 2-0 as a Professional Boxer, Lewandowski will have her first fight inside the Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City on November 7th.
Joining the local boxers on the fight card this fall will be top-ranked Heavyweight Fighter Otto Wallin. Two of his three career losses have been to former Champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. The boxer from Sweden will return to the ring at Tropicana Atlantic City for the first time since July 2024.
