Flukey is one of many area baseball players who have shined at the Division I college level.

Rutgers has multiple local players, including two from EHT, Jordan and Justin Sweeney. They also feature Holy Spirit's Trevor Cohen, ACIT's Tony Santa Maria, and Cedar Creek's Christian Coppola, who was the Big Ten Pitcher of the Week during the final week of February.

Mainland graduate Cole Campbell is at NJIT and was recently named the American East Rookie of the Week.
