Some things in life are obvious.  For instance, if you touch a lit stove, you're going to get burnt.

You know it's a bad thing to step in front of an oncoming train.

It would seem to most people that it's a really bad idea to try to pet a tiger.

One might think it would be unnecessary for a zoo to post signs that say, "Do not climb over the fence..."

It seems silly that the city would even have to make an official law making it a crime to enter the tiger's enclosure (City Ordinance 247-C).

As my kids used to say, DUH!

(see the actual video of the incident at the bottom of this story!)

Yet the other day at Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton, a woman climbed over the enclosure and reached through a fence to pet the tiger.

The tiger looked at the woman and probably saw a great big sirloin.  After sniffing around, the big cat lunged at the woman.

There's a video of the whole episode.  The woman quickly pulled back her hand, and incredibly, looked like she was posing for a picture.

Then she hopped back over the fence.

The woman was quite lucky.  The tiger seemed surprised to see someone in the enclosure and the woman could have easily lost a hand or worse.

Officials aren't laughing.  Incidents like these are more common with the advent in social.

The outcome isn't always as good as this one.

Now, Bridgeton Police are looking for the woman.  They posted photos and a video, asking the public to help identify the woman.

Billed as the first zoo in New Jersey, they have a wide array of animals on their site.
