👩🎤 Grammy-Winning Music Icon Cyndi Lauper Embarking on Farewell Tour
👩🎤 The Etess Arena at The Hard Rock Live December 7
👩🎤 Tickets On Sale October 4, at 10 am
She burst onto the music scene in 1983 with her smash hit breakthrough debut album She's So Unusual.
The album spawned four top-5 singles in the U.S. including,
- Girls Just Want to Have Fun
- Shebop
- All Through the Night
and Cyndi Lauper's first number-one single, Time After Time.
She went on to release other hits like,
- True Colors
- I Drove All Night
Her work has garnered her a couple of Grammy's, an Emmy, Tony, as well as Billboard Music Awards, Cashbox Awards, MTV Music Awards, and more.
She's won awards for her contributions to Broadway as well.
While many see the fun side of Cyndi, she has a very serious side as well.
Cyndi has been an open advocate for the LGBTQ+ community as well.
It's hard to believe that it's been 41 years since the release of her first album.
Sadly, as we've been seeing a lot in the last few years, many of the great music icons we grew up listening to, are getting to an age when touring is no longer appealing, and they have decided to say goodbye to their fans.
Cyndi Lauper announced last year that she was done with touring.
This fall, she's embarking on her farewell tour, appropriately titled, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour."
The tour kicks off in Montreal on October 18th and ends on December 7 in the Etess Arena at The Hard Rock Live.
Tickets go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster.com or HardRockHotelAtlanticCity.com.
Cyndi Lauper is truly a one-of-a-kind performer.
While it's sad to see such a brilliant career come to an end, how cool is it, that her very last show will be right here in our backyard?
