Officers with the Pleasantville Police Department were busy late Wednesday afternoon as they dealt with two accidents in two hours on the same busy street.

The first crash, involving three vehicles, happened just after 4:30 near the intersection of Ireland and West Washington Avenues near Greenwood Cemetery.

According to police, the driver of a Honda Civic, 19-year-old Joshua Valezquez of Atlantic City, was unable to stop his vehicle and rear-ended a Chevrolet Traverse driven by 33-year-old Tiffany Perpiglia-McNeal of Mays Landing. That impact sent McNeal's SUV into the back of a Nissan Altima, driven by 30-year-old Peter Thornton of Egg Harbor Township.

Thornton and Perpigilia-McNeal were treated by EMS at the scene.
