But the house that has been chosen by Bob Vila on his website as the most famous in New Jersey has nothing to do with a celebrity and has everything to do with politics.
No, it's not the home of a small child who would one day become president, and it's not the retirement home of a former one.
New Jersey's Most Famous Home Is Very Political
It's the current mansion of the governor of New Jersey, a sprawling estate known as Drumthwacket.
The history of the Governor's Mansion and the land it stands on is impressive. The property was once owned by the founder of Pennsylvania and is the land on which the Princeton Battle for American Independence took place in 1777, according to The Drumthwackett Foundation.

In case you want to do some exploring, Thomas Edisaon's House is in West Orange. The house Bruce Springsteen lived in as a child is located at 39 1/2 Institute St. in Freehold, and Jon Bon Jovi's childhood home is at 16 Robinhood Dr in Parlin.
