Recently, a popular website ranked the Christmas spirit in every state in America. So how did the Garden State do? Not as well as you think.

New Jersey was ranked as the state with the 9th highest Christmas spirit in America, according to Wisevoter.

That is hard to believe for any New Jersey resident who has strolled the streets of Red Bank or shopped downtown Cape May during the holiday season.

NJ's Christmases Seem To Get More Festive Each Year

It seems like the decorations go up earlier each year, and the lights seem to get brighter and brighter.

And the lines at the malls seem to get longer and longer and the laptop seems to get slower and slower for online purchases.
