Put on your swimsuit, grab your towel, and get ready for some cold, wet fun!!

Even though the water temperature is apparently not THAT cold yet, you may want to have hot chocolate or a blanket and some hand warmers waiting for you when you get out! It’s the 2023 Monmouth County SPCA Polar Plunge, raising money to help thousands of stray animals cared for by the Monmouth County SPCA.

Their goal is to raise $100,000. It’s going to be an awesome day with lots of fun activities for the entire family.

Of course, the event is for dogs too!

Enjoy music, food, and a 50/50 raffle. There will also be a dog zone and best costume contest.

“We think our Doggy Paddle Polar Plunge is a great way for families and friends to start the holiday season off in a fun and selfless way,” says Barbara Lovell, MCSPCA Director of Development. “Everyone’s feeling celebratory the weekend after Thanksgiving and the water temperature is still fairly warm. Bring your pups and make them proud as they watch you take the plunge in support of homeless pets!”

Don’t worry! You don’t have to take the plunge to join in on the fun.

It takes place Saturday, November 25 at D’Jais in Belmar from 10am-3pm with the plunge at 12:30 pm. If you would like more information on how to sign up just click on this link, www.shorturl.at/eAOW4.
