Do you remember when there wasn't online bill pay through your bank?
If not, let me tell you a story.
Not so long ago, after you received a bill in the mail, you would pay it with a check.
You would then put the return portion of that bill with the check in an envelope and mail it to whoever charged you.
But it wouldn't move from your mailbox unless it had a stamp from the good old United States Postal Service.

I still know many people who regularly use the mail to pay bills and for correspondence.

July 2024 USPS Price Increases
The cost of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp will increase from 68 cents to 73 cents starting Sunday, July 14.
Additionally, mail service costs are going up as well.

Why does the cost of postage stamps continue to go up?
According to the Chicago Sun Times, it's all about "financial and operational struggles."
The USPS has also said that it is not immune to inflation. A word that all of us are all too used to.
The agency also works to even out spending and normalize employee pension payouts. However, it seems the money promised isn't there. It was supposed to be, but it is no longer.
