A Beloved Jersey Shore Waterfront Restaurant Is Back After a Three-Year Absence
There are few things better than grabbing seafood and a cold drink while staring out at the water on a summer afternoon. That's why a lot of Jersey Shore locals were excited to learn that a longtime waterfront restaurant has officially reopened after sitting dark for nearly three years.
The restaurant sits right on the edge of Sandy Hook Bay and offers some of the views people travel hours to find. Boats drift by, the breeze comes off the water, and sunsets can turn an ordinary dinner into something memorable.
For many longtime residents, the return feels like the comeback of a local tradition.
Jersey Shore Waterfront Dining Returns
Visitors can once again enjoy a large outdoor seating area overlooking the bay, as well as indoor dining and a full-service bar. The property has long been a popular stop for boaters, and dock-and-dine service has also returned.
Waterfront restaurants come and go along the Jersey Shore, but places with decades of history tend to hold a special place in the community. This one has been part of the local landscape for generations.

A Highlands, NJ Restaurant With Deep Family Roots
NJ.com reports that Inlet Cafe in Highlands has reopened.
Originally launched by the Lentz family in 1966, the business is once again under the direction of the family's second generation. Siblings Douglas Lentz and Robin Lentz-Sundstrom are now leading the operation and bringing the waterfront destination back to life.
The reopening is being promoted as a return to the casual atmosphere that made the restaurant a favorite for decades. Think seafood, cocktails, live entertainment, and some of the best bay views in Monmouth County.
The menu features a variety of seafood favorites, including lobster rolls, fish and chips, smoked fish dip, Cajun fish bites, and raw bar selections.
Inlet Cafe is currently serving lunch and dinner and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
For longtime fans, it's a chance to revisit a place filled with memories. For newcomers, it's an opportunity to discover one of the Jersey Shore's classic waterfront dining spots just in time for summer.
