After 17 Years, This Popular NJ Beach Bar Has Closed For Good
It's not uncommon to see a pretty popular watering hold close anymore, but it never gets easier when it happens.
We've seen an increase in closures among local bakeries, hardware stores, and restaurants.
We've also seen a few very popular watering holes close down over the past year or so, one that really hurt was when Salty's Beach Bar in Belmar closed down.
More on Salty's here, but it was a great place to not only catch some great live music but also get a nice cold beer after a long day.
Now, another very popular beach bar is closing, and the worst part is that it was only open for a handful of wonderful years.
Goodnight Irene's Has Closed In Wildwood, NJ This Past Weekend
If you're not familiar with Goodnight Irene's, it was a very popular stop for tourists and locals alike in Wildwood during both the summer and months and even off-season.
Goodnight Irene's was known for their huge selection of beers, like a massive constantly rotating tap list.
They also had pretty good Brick Oven pizza, and sadly this past weekend Goodnight Irene's poured its last beers and closed up for good.
But they didn't go out without a bang, according to NJ.com and Goodnight Irene's social media pages they had a massive goodbye party that went into the early hours of the morning.
This leaves the question though; what's next?
There was no real reason for the bar's sudden closure, and where the bar was located in Wildwood at Pacific Avenue is a prime location for a business.
