These 3 NJ Bars Made USA Today’s Best Bars in America List for 2026
This sounds like a problem, more than a pastime, but I'm going to stand by what I say; there's nothing I love more than going to a bar at the Jersey Shore.
The other week, I stumbled upon the Sand Box in the Highlands while I was filling in with the band Serious FM, and fell in love with how fun a place it is; more on that here.
Of course, Riggers in Seaside is always a favorite, as is the Anchor Inn in Ocean Gate, and I really can't get enough of the Riverside Tavern in Beachwood; it's become a new favorite.

None of my favorite spots, though, ranked in this year's list of the best bars in America. 3 bars in Jersey did make the list, though, and I'm curious if you agree or not.

In order to make USA Today's best-of list for the best bars in America, the bar has to be a place where both tourists and locals may feel at home, a place that has good drinks, good food, and a great atmosphere.
What 3 NJ Bars Were Named The Best In NJ For 2026?
So, what 3 bars from Jersey made the list?
1. D'Jais in Belmar, unsurprisingly, came in first place in the Garden State. Whether you're a fan or not, you know the name, and you know this place is legendary.
2. The Cloverleaf Tavern in Caldwell came in second place, known for its craft beer list and nearly 100-year history in Jersey. The menu is fantastic, and the beer list is expansive.
3. The Riverside Inn, in Cranford, NJ, was the 3rd bar in Jersey to make USA Today's Best Of List for 2026. The bar is more than 120 years old and features "always happy hour pricing" so you can enjoy some downtime without breaking the bank. The bar is cozy and inviting, and the food is supposedly legendary.
