Years after first showing up in the U.S. by way of Taiwan, boba tea drinks have become widely available — and New Jersey is no exception.

Boba tea is often also called bubble tea, and usually involves tea with tapioca pearls or popping fruit boba, milk and various flavors.

“It is fun, filling and delicious,” as described on the website of popular franchise, Real Fruit Bubble Tea.

The most loyal boba customers have been members of Generation Z —  who range in age from 27 to 12, as they were born between 1997 and 2012.

The market for these drinks has been growing and is expected to continue to surge, according to Nation's Restaurant News.
