Need some incentive to embrace the winter season? A huge, outdoor ice skating rink has just returned to Cooper River Park in Camden County.

WinterFest is officially up and running at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, complete with a 60 x 120 foot ice rink! Visitors are invited to bring skates or rent a pair on site for just $6.

The entire park has been transformed into a winter wonderland perfect for holiday outing with family and friends, but the fun actually extends beyond Christmas and New Year's with the ice rink staying open through February 21, 2022, according to Patch.com.

It's a welcome attraction that was missing from the South Jersey area in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cooper River Park's Commissioner Jeff Nash is thrilled Winterfest is back, saying, "After the uncertainty of last year, it will be nice to provide people with a carefree, and safe, way to have fun. This is a great way for people to get out of the house and try something new."

In addition to the ice skating and lights displays, Winterfest visitors can nosh on seasonal treats and refuel their engines inside the Cooper River Park Lodge.

You can find the Winterfest ice rink on the corner of North Park Drive and Cuthbert Boulevard across from the Cherry Hill Crowne Plaza Hotel.
