Food trucks have been all the rage for the last few years and this Saturday, a food truck based around Hello Kitty will be making a stop at Cherry Hill Mall.

According to the Hello Kitty Cafe website, the truck will offer Hello Kitty cakes, cookies and other sweet treats.  Hello Kitty merchandise will also be available.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck started in Southern California in 2014.  Today, they have 2 tracks that travel across the US.  The cafe also has four standalone restaurant locations.  All of those are located in California.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will be parked near the Macy's entrance at Cherry Hall Mill on Saturday (4/13) from 10am-8pm.  The truck's Facebook page does note that food and merchandise will be available while supplies last.

According to Wikipedia, Hello Kitty was created in 1974 by Japanese designer, Yuko Shimizu and is now the 2nd highest-grossing media franchise ever, behind only Pokemon.  To date, the Hello Kitty franchise, which is owned by a Japanese company called Sanrio, has reportedly earned an estimated $80 billion.
