If you have plans to drive to Philadelphia on Monday, be aware that detours and delays are expected in Center City because of a new Adam Sandler Netflix movie being filmed in the city.

The Movie "Hustle" has been filming in and around the city since October 2020, at sites including Coatsville High School, Manayunk, Market Street, the Italian Market, and various South Philadelphia locations.

Additional filming was done in Camden, probably at the site of the 76ers training facility. Word has it that Sandler has arranged for several 76ers, including Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, Matisse Thybulle, and even coach Doc Rivers, to have guest appearances in the movie.

In Hustle, Sandler, a longtime basketball fan with a reputation for actually having some game of his own in real life, plays a former basketball scout trying to remake his career by bringing a player from overseas to play in the NBA.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the movie also stars Queen Latifah and Academy Award winner Robert Duvall. LeBron James is one of the producers. The film is directed by Philadelphia native Jeremiah Zagar.

In recent weeks, Sandler has been spotted around town playing basketball, greeting fans, and eating at some of the city’s best restaurants.

No release date has been announced yet for Hustle.
