The late George Michael collaborated with many artists over the course of his career, including Sir Elton John and Queen. But there's one duet that stands out to us more than any other.

It's 1987's 'I Knew You Were Waiting (for Me)' with the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. The song appeared on Aretha's album Aretha and hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as on the chart in the UK.

George Michael is said to have died peacefully in his home over Christmas weekend. He was 53.
