Dumbbell Strikes 75-Year-Old Driver While Driving on New Jersey Turnpike
A 75-year-man from Hamilton Township is in critical condition after his SUV was struck by a 50-pound dumbbell while driving on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Police say the incident happened on the southbound lanes of the turnpike at 7:30 a.m. Monday morning near Mile Marker 6. They have zero idea where the dumbbell came from, but speculate it was thrown from a nearby overpass.
The man is luckily conscious but in critical condition after the incident. He was airlifted to Crozer-Chester Medical Center for treatment.
His wife who was in the car with him is unharmed.
Hopefully he was a swift and full recovery!
