While his dad, Phil Murphy, was being sworn in as the new Governor of New Jersey, his son flashed a controversial sign. The upside-down 'OK' hand gesture has been associated with at least a couple different meanings:

1. The Circle Game. There's a good definition at the "Urban Dictionary." Pretty much, you're trying to get people to look at the signal you're making, and if they do, you can punch them.

2. According to NJ.com, the symbol has also been associated with some racist meanings.
