Many health experts believe testing for COVID-19 is key to stopping the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

On heart.org, Dr. Eduardo Sanchez, the American Heart Association's chief medical officer for prevention, says testing helps "investigators characterize the prevalence, spread and contagiousness of the disease."

Thankfully, the availability of tests seems to be improving greatly. For example, 2 Walmart locations in Burlington County are now offering COVID-19 testing.

According to
nj.gov, the Burlington County Walmart locations are at 934 Route 73 in Mt. Laurel and at 2106 Mt. Holly Rd. in Burlington.

A press release announcing the new testing sites on nj.gov says that tests will be available to "adults who meet Centers for Disease Control and state and local criteria on who should be tested, including first responders, health care providers, and others with symptoms of COVID-19, and those in high-risk groups without symptoms."

Tests are by appointment only and these drive-thru sites will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7-9am (weather permitting). The sites will not be open on Memorial Day.

The governor's office says the tests will be administered by Quest Diagnostics. Individuals interested in making an appointment to be tested should visit www.MyQuestCOVIDTest.com.

If you're not sure if you have symptoms associated with COVID-19, the state of New Jersey has set up an interactive questionnaire to help you. Click here to get started.
