Cops in Atlantic City say a man from Camden was arrested Tuesday afternoon after sexually assaulting a housekeeper at a hotel.

According to police, ACPD officers responded to the Claridge Hotel around 3:15PM Tuesday for a report of a sexual assault.

While responding, officers were advised that a Claridge employee was following the suspect on to the Boardwalk. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Kye Hardison of Camden, was quickly located and taken into custody.

An investigation by detectives of the Special Victims Unit revealed that Hardison had unlawfully entered a 12th floor hotel room. The victim, a 61-year-old woman, entered the room and saw Hardison inside. The victim left, and Hardison, who was not the registered occupant, followed shortly after. The victim then re-entered the room and Hardison pushed her inside and physically and sexually assaulted her. Hardison then fled the room and the hotel where he was later arrested.

Hardison was charged with sexual assault, simple assault, and burglary; he was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
