Authorities have released the identities of the two people who were found dead at a home in Surf City on Sunday.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer and Surf City Police Chief John N. Casella, Jr., say the victims were 87-year-old John Enders of Surf City and 75-year-old Francoise Pitoy of Manchester.

Billhimer said in an updated statement Monday afternoon, "This is an active and ongoing investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Surf City Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit. As we stated earlier, both deaths are suspicious in nature but there is no danger to the public at this time. Our investigation indicates this was a targeted attack against both decedents."

Included in a report by the Asbury Park Press was a photo of a law enforcement truck outside the sprawling home at 366 7th Street, which is listed online as a $2 million bayfront property.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is urged to contact Det. Lindsay Woodfield of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at (732) 929-2027.
