A young child in South Jersey nearly drowned in a pool this morning - a small inflatable pool.

CBS 3 Eyewitness News in Philly reports that police were called to a residence on Glamis Road in Gloucester Township before noon today.  Apparently the child’s mother was visiting friends and several other children, who were playing at the residence when the incident occurred.

An 18-month-old (whose name has not been released) was saved from fatal harm because CPR was successfully applied before the officers arrived at the scene.  EMS crews transported the child to Cooper Hospital in Camden, where we can report that the child is in stable condition.
