Cape Regional Responds to Claim Concerning Coronavirus
Let's start with the truth. There are presently no patients hospitalized at Cape Regional Medical Center with coronavirus. It is possible that you read a Facebook post that gave different information. That Facebook post was bogus and untrue.
Thursday evening, Cape Regional Health System in Cape May Court House posted their own Facebook message correcting a post on Facebook from earlier Thursday that alleged that there were five patients being treated for coronavirus at the hospital.
Cape Regional Health System responded with this statement...
Cape Regional Medical Center has been made aware of the Facebook post below and we want to clarify that at this time there are zero (0) confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Cape Regional Medical Center.
We have contacted the person who made the post and have provided him with accurate information and have requested that he remove or correct the post.
You have to especially careful of what you read online and check the source of the news during an emergency situation like the corona pandemic. People posting false and intentionally alarming information run the risk of causing great fear and unnecessary panic.
