Atlantic City Woman Arrested After Burglarizing Nine Vehicles, Cops Say
An Atlantic City woman is facing charges after police say she broke into nine vehicles Tuesday.
Atlantic City Police responded to the 500 block of Trenton Avenue for a report of a car burglary around 6:00 Tuesday morning, according to a press release. As officers were responding, they were advised of another car burglary in the 400 block of Trenton Avenue.
Cops arrived to find the suspect, 41-year-old Michelle Maycott of Atlantic City, sitting in the passenger side of a vehicle that had a smashed window.
Maycott was arrested and cops found a screwdriver and a large amount of change on her.
While searching the area, officers counted a total of nine vehicles had been damaged and burglarized in the 400 and 500 blocks of Trenton Avenue.
Malcott is facing burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools charges and also had an active warrant. She was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
