Atlantic City Mayor Involved in Pedestrian Crash
Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian was part of a collision Saturday involving a pedestrian.
The mayor was reportedly driving Route 30-W near Highgate Apartments Saturday approximately 3:30 p.m. when a 7-year-old girl ran from the sidewalk and into the road. The girl allegedly struck the rear passenger side of Guardian's vehicle, reports Press of Atlantic City. Police responded and determined the accident could not have been avoided by Mayor Guardian, who was uninjured in the crash, and he was not issued a traffic ticket, according to the Atlantic City Police Dept. Facebook page.
The child was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City. She reportedly suffered only minor injuries, according to ACPD.
