The FBI Uniform Crime Report recently released violent crime rates by city.
According to the report from 2015-2016 New Jersey has seen a 4.2% decline in violent crimes.
According to the FBI violent crimes include:
...murder, manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault...also [counting] property crimes of burglary, larceny-theft and motor vehicle theft in the category.
