A Large Umbrella Thief is At Large in Cape May County

A rather large man appears to have stolen a rather large umbrella from a Cape May business and is still at large.

Police in Cape May are asking for the public's help in identifying a man caught on surveillance, apparently stealing a large umbrella from a Beach Avenue business.

Police say the theft occurred just after 1:00 am on Sunday, November 7. We checked with the weather people and can confirm it was not raining at the time in Cape May. Also, the sun was not out at 1:00 am, so what did he need an umbrella for at that time?

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Shustack at 609-884-9503.
