A transaction agreed to on the internet went horribly wrong as sellers showed up to complete the deal in Egg Harbor Township and  were surprised with some thugs with a shotgun.

The incident happened last Friday, according to Egg Harbor Township Police, in the Cariff section of EHT. The seller showed up at a pre-arranged location, only to find out that the location for the transaction was changed.

When the seller and some friends went to the new location, things went terribly wrong, according to police:

Upon meeting the buyer and his associates a negotiation was made for the purchase of the property which was placed in the buyer's vehicle. When the victim asked for payment, an individual on behalf of the buyer emerged from a wood line of thick vegetation brandishing a rifle. A physical altercation between the two groups occurred and the accused parties fled the area in a vehicle with the victim's property, no injuries were reported.

EHT Police conducted an investigation and now have made some arrests, including Shea Smith and Elijah Green, both 18 of EHT, and two juveniles.

The arrested parties were charged with Robbery, conspiracy, and weapon related offenses. Smith and Green were lodged in Atlantic County Justice Facility and the two juveniles were lodged in the Harbor Fields Juvenile Detention Center.
