2020/21 Winter Predictions For South Jersey
As Summer 2020 winds down, (some) of us look forward to the crisp, cool, fall weather, while others dread what's coming behind it.
I really look forward to the beautiful fall foliage, crisp nights and chilly mornings after a long and sweltering summer. The countdown to Fall 2020 is less than 37 days and counting.
I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of the season to follow. Just hearing the word winter tends to send a shiver down my spine.
NOAA, also known as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has just released the long range forecast for the upcoming 2020/21 winter season.
According to ski.com, we have a 55% chance of a La Nina winter which means a warmer and wetter winter season could take place for the duration of winter. I would be perfectly fine without having to use my shovel or have to drive through a snowstorm this winter. I'm all for an inch or two of snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day only!
There is a possibility of a much colder temps to start to the 2021 spring season which could mean a snowy start to spring. Of course, the winter forecast is subject to change. Snow lovers could still have a chance of a winter filled with snow and ice.
