Police in Cape May County looking for child pornography also found evidence of drug distribution in a home in Cape May Court House. Ronald Curll, 63, and Shawn Gaston, 20, were arrested as a result of the search of the home.

The Cape May Prosecutor's Office says they received a tip about videos of child pornography being downloaded and distributed at a home on Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House. Acting on information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the court gave permission for a search warrant of the home.

Authorities executed the search on Friday, July 15, and seized several computers and devices as part of their search. The suspect in the case, Ronald Curll was not home during the investigation of the home.

Curll was later found in Rio Grande on July 18, according to the prosecutor's office statement. After inspecting the computers, Curll was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.

During the search of the Mechanic Street home, police also found 21 ounces of marijuana and about $4000 in cash. Shawn Gatson was arrested and charged with the possession and distribution of marijuana.

Both men were processed and released while awaiting court dates.

The Cape May Prosecutor's Office and the child porn task force will continue to follow leads about exploited children. If you have any information about criminal activities related to child porn, contact the prosecutor's office at 609-465-1135.
