Will the future include all South Jersey parks and beaches to be smoke free? You might be able to breath a clearer sigh of relief....

Somers Point, Lower Township, Ship Bottom; all of these beaches are smoke free, and the ban has gone smooth so far.

What if a smoking ban comes to beaches like in Atlantic City, Ventnor, or Cape May?

After all, most North Jersey beaches are smoke free.

Oh by the way, this ban would also include cigar smoking.

A bill is being proposed in Trenton that would would ban smoking at outdoor public gathering places, “including state parks, beaches and wildlife management areas, and at recreation and conservation areas acquired or developed using state funds.” (Press of Atlantic City)

Of course, if you're a smoker, you can argue that you have the freedom to smoke anywhere you want, as long as it's outdoors.  If someone doesn't like the second-hand smoke, they can simply move to another part of the beach.

Then again, nobody likes second-hand smoke, including your kids.
