South Jersey Gas officials are currently looking into a gas line break in North Wildwood that occurred on Thursday night.

A local resident in the area caught the gas line break on video where you can see the flames shoot several feet into the air.

The break is located in the area of East 24th and the boardwalk and happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The gas line erupted into flames at some point during or after the break occurred. Since then the area is under construction until further notice.

It's currently unclear on how or why the gas line broke and is under investigation.
