Beachgoers reportedly spotted a wild coyote in Sea Isle lurking around in broad daylight over the weekend. Authorities are currently searching for it.

The wild animal was found trotting along the beach between 39th and 40th streets. Last I've read, Sea Isle PD and animal control officers have yet to capture the animal and the search was suspended.

While coyotes do not typically roam around populated areas, they're not seeking to harm anyone. They're just searching for food.

But, authorities do advise to keep small animals inside and make sure the trash is is properly sealed. If you do happen to spot the coyote, definitely contact animal control or call Sea Isle PD at 609-263-4311.
